A lifetime of memories, wit and smiles,
A humour that overcame all trials.
Never afraid to speak her mind,
A heart that was always warm and kind.
From the fullest of life's, to a self-declared 'inmate',
She showed no fear and kept her faith,
Her laughs and jokes brought joy to all,
And in spite of her body she seemed brave and tall.
Her eyes may have failed but her black humour prevailed,
With a Beckett like view of the world she detailed.
Her courage and strength gave her life a good length,
Waiting for Godot until heavens carriage was sent.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
